Due to some unknown reason, whenever I attempt to download something and click the 'open when ready' option, the `jet reports player for microsoft dynamics` application launches. I’m completely confused about what this program does, but since it’s from Microsoft, it seems safe. However, it prevents me from downloading many files because of it. When it runs, it displays a blue screen with its logo and then stops doing anything useful. Anyone know how to remove it or avoid it in the future?

I managed to remove it, though it wasn't easy at first. I'll share some images from the web.

99.99% confidence it's adware. If your Windows is running Adwcleaner, visit the link provided. Trust me, also check MalwareBytes at the recommended site.

If it's adware, open the control panel and then modify the programs where you can reinstall or uninstall, as that’s where the adware might have been placed during the download. This happened to me when I downloaded DIVX and suddenly ads appeared. I should have recognized it as from DIVX when my antivirus flagged a warning, thinking it was a false alert.
