Here are some pros and cons to consider, and a suggestion based on your needs. There will be no experience points since the game is no longer supported. I’m using Windows 7 but thinking about moving to Windows 8.1. We’re comparing speed, performance, stability, and gaming features. I also prefer the quick startup time that 8.1 offers.

This unusual discussion has really frustrated me. I've noticed different benchmarks showing W7 performing better, while others indicate 8.1 was stronger... I'm keeping W7 until the results become clear, especially with the upcoming new operating system.

Windows 7 because that's the one i have now, i'm not gonna spend another hundred dollars(i won't buy it from g2a) to buy windows 8.1 when windows 9 could be coming out soon.

I would choose the newest release, I think Microsoft didn’t send a DX update, though I might be mistaken.
