There are privacy browsers, but they still store my internet searches and the words I type on my computer. You could try turning off your history in Chrome by following these steps: https://www.wikihow.com/Turn-Off-Browsin...-on-Chrome But that gets messy later if you forget to do it sometimes. I need a browser that doesn't save any browsing info or search history at all. Is there one like this?
Use Firefox and try out what it has to offer. It cleans up all your stuff when you shut down the computer or close the app.
I don't have to change my IP address. All I really want is a web browser that doesn't keep any records about what sites I visit on my own computer. Even deleting the history file isn't working for me. The system still remembers everything, even after you close the program or quit it completely.
If your Linux Live USB has no persistent storage, everything disappears after you restart the computer. All your files and programs are wiped out when you turn it back on.
Is this feature exclusive to Linux computers? Also, does everything disappear right away when I restart my computer? That phrase actually means that all my work stays here on my machine while I am running the program. Once I stop it and turn off my PC, the data is gone forever.
Basically, all your information stays only inside your RAM, which loses everything when you turn off power. But you can't just shut down your PC without having at least some data floating around in RAM for a while. That whole Linux operating system is one of those things you choose to put on a USB stick instead of using the hard drive. Nothing gets saved to that flash drive, and nothing stays written to any regular hard drive inside your computer.
