I discovered an unexpected advantage of being in the UK. My frame rate stays at 50fps, and I accept the minor delay from my TV upscaling to 60fps. It still feels nearly as smooth as 60fps, even though it runs at roughly 20% more resolution than necessary. The game doesn’t consistently maintain a stable 50fps either, but that’s likely due to the 4K rendering demands—distance and detail increase dramatically. It still amazes me when I’m sailing; lights from settlements on the islands appear sharp and far away.
