I really appreciate the original version. The visuals still work well on PS2 and convey the message clearly, even though the controls feel a bit awkward at first. People say the new version is mostly a precise copy of the old one with updated graphics, mechanics, and similar touches. If you own a fully functional PS2, it’s likely the best choice to enjoy the experience without performance issues. This comes from someone who loves playing Morrowind on the original Xbox—similar to Black Mesa or the recent System Shock remake. If you just want to play for fun, go with the remake.
