Hello everyone, hope you're all well. Stay safe and healthy – your opinions mean a lot to me. We've all heard that after 21 years, the remake of this masterpiece on MGS3 is finally here. But is it worth it? Once something becomes legendary, it's tough for developers to meet people's expectations with another version. I've played both the original and the remake, so I'm curious about what you think. I don't want to waste time or money, but I'm torn between playing the original or the remake. Would you prefer going for the original or the remake? Thanks!

You can enjoy original content on the emulator at high quality, including all visual effects and maximum settings. There might be some modifications available as well. Ultimately, it comes down to whether you prefer playing a UE5 title or not.

Playing both versions has been enjoyable. For a modern setup with all features, choose Snake Vs. Monkey and Guy Savage. If your hardware is limited, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater offers a classic console experience.

Thanks to @Mark Kaine for your feedback. Appreciate the input. Even with a high-end PC, would you still want to skip delta N? Could you explain your reasoning more? Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback @BloodShed_Oni. The main issue is the low Metacritic rating and its absence. Let me reassess.

That's the sole explanation for why you dislike But Why.

Metacritic seems unreliable; I don’t rely on it. On Steam, the game gets a "Very Positive" rating of 84% from 5,088 English reviews. The remake stays true to the original work.

I might be mistaken and often am. When it comes to metacritc, it stands out because it features genuine critics unlike most other sites.

I've never tried a UE5 title where the challenges of working with that engine were worth it... I mostly played RE engine games, which are technically similar but have fewer odd issues.
