Which Ryzen CPU to choose?
My board only handles up to 1.8 vdimm—it's a bit disappointing, but what options exist? I’d have chosen the X570 myself, though the price of the boards caught my attention. My computer is mostly for fun now; it doesn’t feel like a priority. With the inability to get a GPU, my passion has faded a bit. Even if I had one, I still wouldn’t feel the same. The expenses—hardware, software, telemetry, ads, TPM—don’t seem worth it anymore.
I just installed an R5 5600X in my MSC B450 Tomahawk Max and achieved the performance I wanted for just $300. I was running an R5 3600, which is also a solid CPU. Even with both having six cores, the R5 5600X gave better results without breaking the budget.
