I suggest using 3600MHz CL16. It offers the optimal balance between cost and performance. If you can raise it to 3800MHz or above and adjust the timing to CL14, that would be ideal. However, 3600MHz CL16 provides the strongest starting point and overall performance right out of the box without a high price tag.

The idea is that you don't require extremely fast RAM or very low latency to achieve high scores. They do assist, but it makes little sense to invest heavily in them when you can reach similar results without the extra cost.

I completely understand your perspective. However, if you're serious about tuning, you'll need to invest in quality tools. For some, finances aren't the biggest concern, but for me, money does play a role. I'm not earning much from my computer work, so it's more of a hobby. Since I only upgrade systems every couple of years, I tend to keep my machines running longer than most hobbyists.
