I own a PC in my dorm, and the local Wi-Fi offers about 70Mb download and 35M upload with a 4ms ping. I’m considering a PCIe Wi-Fi card but worry it might be too much for my setup. My first choice is this Amazon link: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B014T1V...ct_title_6. I’m unsure about my actual internet speeds since I tested them on an older laptop, and I don’t know what the typical range is. Would choosing a good Wi-Fi card really boost my connection speed? Thank you for your answers.

Checking if the connection is strong on Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Seeing if others are getting better speeds. Figuring out if the extra speed is necessary for your needs.

On Wi-Fi, I’ll ask my friend to test using his 2019 MacBook to check if he’s getting the same results. I need a solid connection for downloading games and streaming occasionally, but I’m unsure what speed is considered strong.

The price was 41€ locally, but you can explore alternative choices.

It seems you're unsure about the setup and the pricing options. You'll need external antennas, and there are variations in the 5 € plans.

Yes, these will go straight to the card. I was worried it might affect data reception, but it seems more reliable than the T6E. Are there any more affordable alternatives? Thanks.

The flexibility to adjust the antenna position offers benefits for optimizing signal capture. If desired, you can also obtain aftermarket antennas without this requirement.

Looking for a more affordable alternative that performs similarly? If not, I’m likely going to go with the AC55BT.
