I've been using a GTX 770 with Ryzen 5 2600 and 16GB 3200 in an MSI gaming carbon pro on my Corsair CX550. At first it had some crashes, screen issues, and freezing. Video would drop completely while audio stayed, then HDMI disappeared but DVI worked. After a flicker, video cut off but the PC kept running. I thought the problem was with the PCIe slot limiting the GPU. It wasn't until I learned the card needs 600W that I realized a new power supply might be necessary. I'm considering upgrading to a B450 and GTX 1660 Super, but I'm unsure if a PSU failure would still affect performance. Let me know what you think.

The power consumption of the 770 GPU is around 550 watts. It typically remains stable under normal load but may experience spikes during intense gaming sessions.

The GPU isn't requiring a 600W power supply. This setup won't exceed 300-350W under gaming conditions. Lowering the power limit to -50% will reduce stress on both the PSU and GPU. Replacing the motherboard is only necessary if it's faulty. For casual gaming at 1080p 60fps, an RX 470/480/570/580 should suffice and costs around $80-100 on eBay. The RX 5500 is expected soon. Have you attempted reinstalling Windows? Are you using XMP settings and no other adjustments? Still experiencing crashes with standard memory speeds like 2133mhz or 2400mhz?

Typically it would stop around the middle of the game. I tried to reinstall Windows, but then everything disappeared from the screen, making it impossible to finish the installation. The device isn’t showing up at all when I power on.

If the PSU can't handle it, it might fail or produce unstable voltage that harms other parts, especially the GPU's power delivery system. I don’t understand how this would cause signal loss, but I’m not an electrical expert—someone should clarify this. A better idea would be to test the GPU on another machine with a more capable PSU so you can rule out your current setup.

You'd need a different setup to test the GPU first. If the PSU is outdated, consider swapping it out for one of the recommended GPUs instead.

Noted, before the issue with video output disappeared, I encountered error 43. It seemed to appear around the 770 when inspecting the card in Device Manager.

I believe you crafted your response yourself. Consider upgrading to a different GPU, like the RX 470 or 1050 EGPZ, even if it's budget options.
