Hello.
Initially I will outline my specifications, before proceeding, I just need to mention that some of these items are quite outdated, and most of the components were either remnants from a previous machine I own.
Yes, I have a more powerful system with an Intel i7 6770k, Sli 980ti, 32GB DDR4 RAM equipped with custom water cooling, which I primarily use for professional tasks. However, I decided to build a secondary machine that I could rely on for personal use and enjoy decent gaming at full HD. My main focus is on Moba's titles and a few other games such as Black Desert Online.
CPU: Intel i7 870 (2.93GHz Stock)
Motherboard: Biostar TPOWER I55
RAM: Corsair Vengence Pro 4x4GB 1600MHz DDR3
GPU: MSI GTX 760 OC 2GB (likely to upgrade to Rx 480 or Gtx 1060)
Power Supply: Corsair 700w +80 Bronze
SSD: Kingstong HyperX 120GB
HDD: 1TB WD 7200RPM
The cooling solution I have is from an older build I previously used on my sister's computer, featuring an i5 2500 and a ThermalTake Contac cooler. Unfortunately, the cooling performance isn’t very strong. With power-saving features disabled, Turbo off, and no manual overclocking, the temperatures stay around 44°C (111°F) and max at 57°C (134°F). In gaming scenarios, it hasn’t exceeded 57°C yet. It has hit 60°C and 64°C, mainly due to improperly placed fans and inadequate airflow, plus outdated thermal paste.
I’m looking for a better cooling setup but not so expensive that I overspend. Most of the parts were salvaged from old builds or broken components that I repaired but never disposed of properly.
Regarding airflow:
I’m torn between choosing the Fan-less ZALMAN FX70 and adding two more fans, or opting for the ZALMAN CNPS14X with two additional fans.
For cooling, I’m considering the COOLER MASTER Seidon 120v. V.2, possibly adding one more fan at the back of the radiator to help expel hot air and further reduce temperatures. Which option would be more effective? Since both are priced similarly, I prefer not to overspend unless necessary.
My overclock target is 4.0GHz on the i7 870, aiming for 5.0GHz seems unlikely.

Why not reduce the height and choose a Hyper 212 Evo or a Cryorig H7? Both are excellent budget coolers that work with 1156 boards.
It was a bit let down. There wasn't much progress. Keeping the standard speed didn't help, reducing it by only about 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. The lowest was around 41 degrees, and the highest reached 55 degrees.
Newegg currently offers the Aquacharger 120 for $39. You can purchase it online if you wish, sorry for any confusion, but I haven't updated my knowledge of your preferences.

They found the $39 price to be a good deal on a decent water cooler, especially since they’re using dual xeon x5680s which are similar to i7-980x models. They also listed some devices that don’t work, like the Theta x4 and Supermicro stock coolers with fans.
