No one is playing yet because of the cost, should I switch to division instead?

Overwatch offers good value for money when starting solo in PUGs or groups. It's recommended to practice your first ten levels with AI before facing random opponents.

Overwatch is great, especially if you have friends to team up with. There is a lot of replayability since there are so many unique heros to play as, and it's just fun. I haven't played The Division but it seems like a lot of people stopped playing it fairly quickly. I'm predicting OW to have a longer lifespan edit: and if you dont have a lot of friends who game / have overwatch, just hop in and add people you meet when solo queuing. the community seems way less toxic than some others.

Division is excellent. I enjoy playing with friends and haven’t faced any problems during my 30+ hours of playtime. For Overwatch, I spent around 20 minutes and felt it was similar to TF2. I’d recommend trying Division directly.

Overwatch is quite easy to play. The Division and Ubisoft have struggled over the past couple of years. The Division, together with R6, contains many bugs and issues that remain unresolved since launch. Overwatch offers strong gameplay, excellent optimization, consistent fun, and will likely stay popular for a long time.

I own both versions, yet the split works well; Overwatch ruins it, even though they’re distinct titles.

I've mostly played solo pugs and had a great time. I only know a handful of people who play, but most wanted to improve teamwork and composition. It's a really enjoyable game for me, and I've already spent 30 hours on it with no intention of slowing down. If you get OW, I suggest watching some high-level player videos to understand the basics. I have 1200 hours in TF2 and was at Steel/Gold level, but that skill didn't fully carry over to OW. Right now, A_Seagull and Ster2 are my top streamers and players (both former TF2 pros).

Division: + Team Play with Friends + Stunning Visuals + Gun Action + Upgrades & Abilities - Hackers - Gameplay Style of PvP is poor - Endgame in PvE is extremely repetitive If you plan to play the campaign with friends for 20-30 hours – Yes If you prefer solo gameplay – No If you're seeking PvP or engaging endgame content – No Overwatch: + fair gameplay + appealing graphics + numerous heroes + excellent performance + high quality product - limited number of maps - quick rounds If you're looking for a solid multiplayer shooter with fast-paced action like TF2 – Yes I see no reason for a No
