Hey there,
Today I plan to buy a new CPU cooler for my i7 5820K. My initial pick was the H110i GT, but now I’m questioning it. During some tests, I noticed Noctua models were only about a degree or two hotter, much quieter, and 40€ cheaper. I’m considering 4.2-4.4ghz overclocking, depending on temperature and voltage. What do you think? Is there another good option? I already have a Cooler Master HAF X, so size isn’t an issue.
😀
Cheers

ND 15 is great for around 4.2-4.4, it runs quietly and is one of the top air coolers in that range... I’d choose this.

For a frequency range of 4.2 to 4.4ghz, the NH-D14 is sufficient.

If you're planning to overclock your high-end Core i7, it's best to upgrade the cooler too.

But I'm not sure if the extra 40€ is worth just two degree changes, and when you use H110i in performance mode it feels like having a vacuum right next to your table 😄
So I'm really stuck here.

If you're looking at a similar range, it's quiet and one of the top air coolers for that price. I'd recommend going for that model.
Are there any even better air coolers available?
