Hey everyone. My local PC builder just put together two distinct builds at different price levels—one at $1870 and another at $1362. I’m 100% focused on gaming. What games do I play? Right now I’m into Dota 2, StarCraft 2, CS:GO, Apex Legends, and Rust. Once I get the new build, I’ll also try Baldur’s Gate and Monster Hunter. Just to note, my schedule is pretty tight—I work and supervise a business seven days a week, so I can only play maybe 2 to 4 hours each day.

Here are the builds:

Build A
Mobo: MSI B650M Project Zero
CPU: Ryzen 7 7700
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G VENTUS 2X OC
RAM: 32GB DDR5 5600MHz
SSD: Teamgroup 512GB NVMe Gen4
PSU: Corsair RM1000e 80+ Gold fully modular
Monitor: 27” MG-27KI 165Hz 2560x1440 QHD VIEWPLUS IPS
Case: DarkFlash DLM21 tempered
Drivers: DRAM2 argb fans
Cooling: Mystique 240 aio liquid cooling

Build B
Mobo: Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite AX
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU: MSI RTX 4060 Ti Gaming X Slim 8GB
RAM: 16GB DDR4 TForce 3600MHz 2 x 8GB white
SSD: Teamgroup 500GB NVMe Gen4
PSU: 750W Gigabyte 80+ Gold non-modular
Monitor: 27” MG-27KI 165Hz 2560x1440 QHD VIEWPLUS IPS
Case: Acer V920 tempered
Cooling: 6 x argb fans white + Dn360 liquid cooling

Thanks ahead for any feedback or suggestions.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
In Build A;
Are you sure this case fits with the Project Zero motherboard you listed? I’ve used that case before—it’s not designed for rear-facing connectors on BTF/Project Zero boards. You might want to consider a dual channel DDR5-6000MHz RAM kit to fully utilize your AM5 platform. You don’t need a 1000W power supply; a 850W unit from Corsair works fine, and you can reduce the PSU to 750W.
Build B:
It seems acceptable, but the Gigabyte PSU raises some concerns. Do you have a link to the specific unit you’re considering?
What resolution and refresh rate will the system handle? For 1080p, Build A might be too much.
If you make minor adjustments to Build A, it should last several years without needing an upgrade.
Where are you located? If you’re not in the USA, which site would you prefer for purchasing?

I'm from the Philippines. If I get a Corsair 850W, would that work well for Build B? Yes, it's just going to be 1080p gaming. What else should I consider for both builds? I won't be handling the parts. It'll be my local builder who will get them directly from suppliers.

And yes, it will be just 1080p gaming.
However, you noted that 1440p monitors are mentioned in your listing.
What alternatives would you recommend for both builds? I won’t be purchasing the components myself. It’ll be my local builder who will get them directly from suppliers.
I’m not based in the Philippines; this site is in the USA. Please share links to stores you have access to so we can possibly modify parts to fit your build.

We mainly rely on the same setup.
Sorry for the confusion about the monitor part. My goal is to have a PC that remains useful for 2 to 4 years. This way, I can play my current games in ultra or at least high settings. Either 1440p or 1080p works fine for me because I only use them for 3 to 4 hours a day.
I usually visit pcpart picker on the website since we can reorder parts/brands again. Thank you for your patience.

No matter which option you choose, adding a 1TB or larger SSD could be beneficial for storing games.
