The B550A model can manage a 3700X even after significant overclocking without problems. Ultimately, the decision hinges on additional features like extra USBs on the rear, which I think could be important.

It seems cheaper to opt for a B450 TOMAHAWK instead, or is it worth it financially? For my needs, having two graphics cards makes sense—I already have an RX 570 and a GTX 960. The second card’s bandwidth could be limited.

You can use both graphics cards together. A B450 board supports them, though performance may vary slightly between a B550 and B450. The PCI slots are designed to handle multiple cards, with separate channels for each. You’ll have eight lines for the first card and another eight for the second.
