I understood it should be similar, but all the details were a bit unclear. For instance, I needed an optical output, which definitely came first over PCIe lanes. Also, I have a PCIe 3 NVMe card and it’s actually quite fast. I might consider another one if it fits this board, but PCIe 3 is already sufficient for me. And since my motherboard doesn’t have a fan, it’s a solid choice! : D

You've received your order and are still choosing the right motherboard.

I understand, just trying to sort things out. Motherboards can be tricky—it really depends on your needs and BIOS settings. I’d pick the Strix for me; it’s solid and I almost got one. Strix are great. The B550 model seems more reliable too. If you need super fast SSDs, go with the X570 instead.

I’m confident the Strix model is Gen4, so I’m relaxed. I own a Gen3 M2 and don’t plan to upgrade anytime soon—I’m satisfied with what I have. I also have an ADATA S11 Pro 1TB.

Sure, just one Gen4 SSD seems to be the most common choice, though some believe more are needed. People often think it’s essential, even when it isn’t. The Strix really stands out as the better option.

Recently ASRock boards aren't top performers for RAM speed if that's important. I'm aware of the X570 MEG ACE which has performed well consistently—its solid VRM design, capabilities, and the Unify line continuing the same build path are notable. The BIOS is straightforward once you get used to it, just like with these models. Strix, Aoris, MEG ACE/Unify are all solid options. The key decision comes down to which features matter most and what you're willing to spend. Understanding this will help you choose the right setup.
