Looking to upgrade your motherboard? I'm interested in how the audio chipsets affect gaming and movie playback. Which one among these options offers the best audio performance? My current headphones are Razer Naru Ultimate, and I use Asus Tuf X570, Aorus Elite, Aorus Ultra, and X570 models.
For genuine high-quality DACs, consider using an external one. Otherwise, the internal options on this board should suffice.
The X570 Ultra includes the ALC1220 codec, which appears superior compared to the ALC1200 on the TUF X570-Plus and X570 Aorus Elite. Still, the Ultra is a rather poor choice overall, and purchasing it solely for this feature is quite unreasonable. What’s your budget for the motherboard?
They all perform poorly. My desktops use internal soundcards connected to stereo receivers, and I rely on a USB DAC for my headphones with my laptop. For better results, I recommend switching to the USB DAC option, as it’s usually more affordable and offers a significant improvement.
