Confirming the details: you're referring to an i7-3770, not i7-13700. This chip is DDR3-only and won't work with DDR4 RAM. Using it with an older motherboard like a Z68 could be risky and may not be reliable. It's generally better to invest in a modern i3 for better performance.

Country? Cost? Do you have all components ready (CPU, power supply, RAM, storage, etc.)? You can resell the 3770 and move right to a used Ryzen. A used 3600(x) typically costs $50-60 while a used B3/450 board is about $40-70, which will easily replace it. If your local market is weak, x58 and LGA 1150 might also be worth looking at.

Consider using a CPU compatible with DDR4, especially for the i7-3770, since it will be widely supported by processors and motherboards. If possible, opt for models that support DDR5 for even greater compatibility.
