Which monitor do you prefer: one or two?
So, I was wondering how many monitors people typically use and why. Right now I’m using two because they help me study for my courses in cybersecurity, networking, and programming. Having a second monitor on the left side lets me work with PowerShell and coding more comfortably. Some folks use portrait mode for chatting or streaming, but what’s your reason for having more than one? For those who only have one monitor, do you like it or are you looking to expand your desktop space? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I currently have 1 unit. It was set to 240Hz, but now only 1 works at 60Hz. I gave the 1st one away. Since I don’t use much, it’s fine with just that one. When I had two, the second monitor was off or playing YouTube videos. xD
My device is a 144Hz model. I purchased it recently and have been using it alongside a 1080p 60Hz display. I’m not returning anytime soon!
I thought I might be able to afford something better. Right now my job forces me to stick to used monitors and wait for the right gear. But it’s nice to know you’re interested. I’ve seen some great setups with those. My networking teacher actually uses an ultrawide and he proudly talks about it every month, honestly!
I bought a 24-inch monitor with 144Hz and 1080p resolution for $120. It’s working well, but I’m checking to see if I can get a similar model at that cost.
