I should have been more precise. I was mainly discussing the approximate costs of the chipsets on the boards, focusing on which offers the better value if I were to purchase them.
B450 offers great value, usually with the lowest board prices. There are many B450 boards that fit an 8-core CPU, including Pro4 and Pro4-F, plus most MSI MAX models with VRM heatsinks. The Strix B450F is quite a poor deal, costing more than it provides. MSI B450 Tomahawk Max is significantly better.
The b450 strix f offers poor value. The b550 features four 50A power stages and is reasonably good. It includes the first X16 and M.2 slots for PCIe 4.0 and X570 support, while the b450 lacks these options. For the b450, think about the tomahawk or mortar max. B550 works well with Tomahawk or Mortar Aorus Pro, but avoid the x570 if you're on a tight budget.
