Your PC has an i3 6th generation processor and 4GB of RAM. You used to be a Windows user but it was becoming very slow, so you're considering switching to Linux. You need guidance on picking the right distribution.

Of course, for someone just starting out, begin by getting settled with Ubuntu.

It seems most of them should work on that setup. The 4GB RAM will likely be the biggest issue, so you'll want to focus on that. For beginners, KDE Neon or PopOS are great choices.

Honestly, none of them really stood out. Everyone had their strengths and weaknesses.

This review is a bit harsh about the kernel, but Windows does have its pros and cons too.

Linux stands out as the least ideal operating system, with other OSes even worse, as Winston Churchill might say.

I choose Linux Mint. Resembles Windows, can run most Windows apps via Wine, and it's easy to get familiar with.
