It might vary depending on the software and CPU in question. Puget is likely the top choice I've encountered for these tasks. They often suggest Threadripper for many of their premium setups, regardless of the software used. I mentioned it because this kind of powerful hardware is usually only needed when you require more memory. I work with a CAD-driven quality inspection tool that can be quite intensive, but it appears you're seeking something more advanced than standard options.

I'm interested in reviewing the CPU test results they conducted. I haven't made any purchases yet. I understand that many suggest Intel for video editing and processing. I've been using an AMD consumer system for the latest and previous generations, so I'm not opposed to AMD.

I believe there are certain situations where Intel will emerge victorious. Each software solution will likely lean towards one side.

Additional studies indicate that in most situations, you're right about AMD. Threadripper performs better than Xeon and is also more affordable, newer than the Xeons I was considering, and overall a superior CPU. The issue with Intel that the one video mentioned was related to enabling the iGPU for faster workflows. I’m not sure if iGPU support is available on Threadripper boards now, but if it is, then Intel’s main benefit disappears. I checked Threadripper board choices, but I believe I’ll choose the Asus Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE. Usually I go for Gigabyte, but the Asus offers more of what I need and costs about 200 dollars less than Gigabyte. Is Asus still experiencing quality control and service problems with its products? Regarding the CPU, I’m leaning toward the 9960X. There are significantly more board options for TR5 compared to Xeons 4700, and AMD models are more suited for consumer and workstation server use. I’m uncertain about the reliability of this CPU, as I’ve heard some complaints about it.

The Intel integrated graphics features Quick sync. This capability is absent in AMD systems.

That's regrettable. I'm curious about the actual impact it had. It was the key factor that secured Intel's victory against AMD.

It looks like a promising choice, particularly when weighed against the Xeon processors we talked about before. The cooling system should work fine. The 9970X appears to be a stronger alternative, even if it comes with a higher price tag.

I need to consider swapping my current setup. Both TR5 boards are 33cm wide, but my existing case can only fit up to 30cm before the metal starts to rise. I’m currently using a Fractal case with 5 1/4" bays, and exploring the possibility of using a newer case could be interesting.
