Hola,

- ROG M16: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-r...ci...Id=6494637
- Predator Helios 300: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-p...e-...Id=6504564

The only difference between the Acer and ASUS models is the refresh rate. The ASUS model shares nearly the same specifications except for the processor generation—12th Gen i9 versus 12th Gen i7. This distinction can be seen from two perspectives. On one hand, the i9 might offer better CPU performance, but it could also lead to higher CPU temperatures, which is a concern for laptops where cooling solutions are limited. Gaming laptops often struggle with thermal management, even with careful use on a flat surface, so the i7 could be more reliable in the long term. However, the Acer is significantly more expensive, around 500 dollars more, so it depends on whether you truly need that extra performance and are prepared to handle potential thermal problems. I believe the likelihood of those issues is about equal, and many laptops marketed as capable of handling such hardware fail under prolonged gaming use. They often don’t last long before showing signs of overheating. The warranty period is usually short, and many users encounter thermal problems soon after purchase. Although the Acer offers a lower price and a higher refresh rate, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re willing to accept possible performance limits or cooling challenges.
