Which laptop manufacturer offers the superior cooling system without throttling?
i'm not very sure about laptop brands. i'd like to find out which one you think is best for longer gaming sessions without throttling and stays the coolest.
What's the CPU situation? I'm using an ASUS Rog Zephyrus M16 during the holiday sales. It comes with an i7-12700 and an RTX 3060. I'm playing Civilization 6, and it's not lagging after a while—81 on the CPU and 83 on the GPU. The game is just opening on one screen without much demand. The issue got worse with the original Samsung SSD inside. After swapping it out and adding two WD SN850X drives, temperatures dropped about 5 degrees. I also lowered the CPU's maximum usage from 100% to 99% as suggested, though that didn't help much. Civilization 6 offers great graphics but isn't built for heavy gaming. I recently downloaded Mortal Kombat 11 (for my wife, $6.89 CDKeys!) and haven't started it yet. I'm a bit worried about the current temperatures. I've been propping up the laptop about 3/4" high, which seems to be a common experience online. I'm not a big gamer, actually—I bought this setup for content work (Adobe Creative Suite) and switched my focus there. I chose the laptop because sometimes travel is necessary for that job. Still, I thought it would be fun to check out what games are available now. They're impressive, and honestly, I'm curious if I can manage to boil water while playing these intense titles...
