These are the two laptops I'm unsure about choosing between, as I like both. Should I invest more in Asus?

The Asus laptop features a more advanced display with a higher refresh rate and a stronger processor/APU, making the investment worthwhile. I tend to avoid Dell laptops because they can be difficult to use; their Alienware models are powerful but require intense effort to maintain performance. The Asus designs prioritize mobility, though both devices may overheat compared to older models.

That's why I needed this clarity before deciding to spend more. I intend to purchase a cooling pad and I'm considering an Asus model. Thanks for your prompt reply. Also, just to be honest, do you think the software is the one that's difficult to work with in Dell, or are it the drivers?

What purposes will this laptop serve?
With a note:
Many people complain about gaming laptops struggling.
They often run while connected to power.
A frequent issue is thermal throttling.
Laptop coolers need to be compact and lightweight.
They also receive limited power.
Don’t rely on a cooling pad for significant cooling.
Looking at the photos suggests the Dell has managed airflow better.

You already own a gaming PC, so I recommend a portable cooler suited for gaming and video editing. The performance difference between the two models isn't specified in this context.

If possible, try gaming on the PC. Both laptops can handle 16 threads, but the 5900Hx is slightly quicker. Here are the passmark details:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800H Benchmark

I mainly play games on the PC, but when I'm away I need a portable option to edit or play. I plan to choose an Asus and get a cooler. Any recommendations? Also, do both laptops have the same 3060 power, around 115w? And thank you a lot for sharing those passmark numbers.

I don't believe those laptop coolers do much at all.
Maintain the vents clear and free of blockages.
If you experience overheating, consider lowering the maximum CPU power from full to a lower setting.
