I'm considering constructing a gaming computer, but I'm uncertain whether to select an R5 2600x and RTX 2070, or an R7 2700x paired with a 1070 Ti. There’s been considerable discussion regarding the performance of RTX cards recently. Should I opt for the initial configuration or the alternative one? Is the negative perception of RTX justified?

Considering the two options, prioritize the one possessing a more powerful processor (as a high-end graphics card simplifies this decision considerably). You will likely upgrade the GPU eventually, rendering the system's lifespan dependent on the CPU’s strength and its capacity to accommodate future hardware additions. However, the 1070ti remains a respectable choice.

Considering the two options, prioritize the one featuring a more powerful processor (as a high-end graphics card simplifies this decision considerably). You'll likely upgrade the GPU eventually, even after replacing the entire system. Therefore, a robust CPU is crucial for extended usability and compatibility with future hardware additions. However, the 1070Ti remains a respectable choice.
