Which is better: Lint or strong springs?
I have a used Toshiba laptop (C875-S7304) with keys that require pressing with more than a light touch. Is this normal? I manage to get a toothpick under some keys, without popping them, without finding big dust bunnies. I really don’t want to risk breaking the keys.

For a device from about ten years ago, you might want to think about replacing the laptop's keyboard if you can't access the key switch mechanism underneath.
