Regarding your question, the laptop you mentioned should work well, but finding it at a lower cost elsewhere or a similar-spec model could save you money in the long run. I prefer HP because my work laptop is an HP, and I also like Dell since my monitor is a Dell.
I previously used an Acer laptop but found it slow, and I find Apple a bit difficult to use.
