which hardware would be better
Hello all, got a question on hardware for this situation. Currently, I have a modem/router which my family of three are sharing right now. 1 laptop and 2 desktops, which one of the desktops is using Ethernet. Today when updating software for my parents, i realized that their wifi speeds were abnormally slow, .4 Mbs down, and 1 MBs up. on Ethernet, my speeds normally are: 60 mbs down and 5 mbs up the attached image is the layout of my modem and computers Yellow = modem/router red = laptop on wifi green = desktop on wifi blue = desktop on Ethernet black is a wall seperating the living room where the modem is at, and computer area. I am wondering whether i should get a router or a switch in this situation
