GTA IV was among the poorest translations for PC. It performs poorly on even basic dual-core machines and demands a powerful machine due to its high resource usage. I’d prefer San Andreas or hold off until fall for GTA V!

I’d choose GTAIV mainly for the mods. Super enjoyable with modifications, but for a standard version I’d pick Andreas.
