Which graphics card suits your needs for video editing?
RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT paired with Ultra 7 265K processor for video editing? I plan to install 32GB RAM.
I’ll be working with DaVinci Resolve for editing videos.
Right now I’m using a Ryzen 5 3400G with built-in graphics in Filmora for 1080p projects, and I’m also testing DaVinci Resolve. The main issue is the CPU bottleneck. Please recommend something suitable.
Note: No gaming allowed.
Based on what I know, DaVinci Resolve seems to work better with Nvidia cards because of its setup. Vram is also a factor. You don’t have a rigid budget, though—sometimes the 16gb 5060ti is the best fit depending on where you shop.
If I were making the choice, I’d opt for more than 32 GB of RAM...Windows, browsers, and other programs "consume" memory rapidly. Given that a 150 USD budget (in the US) can provide up to 64 GB, I believe that’s a better option rather than trying to stretch resources further.

RAM speed generally doesn’t significantly affect processing performance, and ensuring adequate RAM is more crucial for overall system efficiency.
32GB suits my browsing needs. My RAM with 16GB DDR4 never caused any issues. I'm not from the USA. After your comment, I looked at the Crucial Pro 2x32GB DDR5 5600MT/s kit for $161 and the Gskill Trident Z5 DDR5 2x32GB 6000MT/s CL36 kit for $215. The Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB 6000MHz CL36 is $108.21.
There is always the possibility of going for 2 x 24GB and finding that middle ground should you possibly want to give yourself a bit of breathing room. Intel cpu's are not as sensitive to memory speeds and timings although I still wouldn't go lower than 5600 - ideally 6000.
Not sure what your market is like though and the price for the corsair vengeance 6000 seems decent
Currently, I think Nvidia's encoders remain superior to AMD's, though the gap is narrower than before. For video exceeding 1080p, you'll likely need more than 8GB of VRAM. A 32GB of RAM might work now, but it could become a limitation later; if you're using slower Intel memory (5600-6400), adding another 32GB should be feasible in the future.

Thank you for your feedback. I chose the 64GB model before, but now the price has increased to four times what it was.
