Which GPU to choose ?
Hello everyone. Here’s the setup I have right now.
Ryzen 7 2700x
Asus Prime B450M-A II
16GB DDR4 2100MHz memory
256GB SSD M.2 plus two hard drives
RTX 3050 8GB OC ASUS
Aura case
1000 watt MSI PSU
22-inch Dell monitor – 1680x1050, no HDR
I’m starting to play AMAZON games again. These are the components I considered. All Canadian prices include taxes and shipping.
Or should I hold off for the RX 9060?

The CPU is likely to become a limitation for demanding games, especially when considering lower resolutions where the CPU handles most tasks. Unless you intend a major CPU overhaul (such as upgrading to 5600x or higher), an Rx 6600 or eventually an Rx 7600 would be the best choice.
don´t purchase outdated cards such as rx 6600
(this would only provide a slight performance boost compared to your current rtx 3050)
also steer clear of 8gb video cards from nvidia like the rtx 4060/5060/5060Ti
if you prefer nvidia, the most affordable option is their latest 16gb rtx 5060Ti model
the best practical improvement would be the intel arc 580 with 12gb of VRAM and roughly 50% better performance than the rtx 3050 -
but if you can afford it, the 5060Ti (16gb) will be significantly faster (about 30% quicker than the arc 580)
remember your processor might be limiting in certain games, particularly at such low resolutions as you're using
though it's an 8c/16t chip with outdated/slow single-core speed, replacing it with something like the ryzen 5600x would make sense
(you'll need to update your motherboard bios before upgrading).
I’d only receive an 8GB card if you don’t intend to upgrade your monitor soon, as higher VRAM in AAA games could become a bottleneck with newer titles. The 5060ti, 16GB or 9060XT 16GB are solid upgrades, particularly for your monitor’s resolution. The ARC B580 would also be a good choice and likely more budget-friendly.
This should be thought about initially if funds allow. Your CPU is more than six years old and current GPUs are expensive, so you won’t get the best performance. If you can’t afford a budget-friendly GPU but can spend around $600, I have no answer.
Thank you for the responses. I'll wait until the updated prescription is released before considering its cost.

If possible, I prefer the 5060ti with 16gb over the 8gb model. You might want to hold off until the 9060xt cards are released, as they seem to be more affordable while still offering similar performance to the 5060ti 16gb.
Additionally, if you have the means or are considering upgrades, consider replacing your CPU with something like a Ryzen 7 5700x and switching your RAM to 32gb DDR4 at 3200 or 3600 MHz. These changes would significantly enhance your system's capabilities.
