Which of these two options do you think offers the best balance between quality and price?

Hey there,
The Alienware stands out as the better choice for gamers. The 3050ti in the G15 is what really sets it apart from that model. It's on par with a GTX1660ti mobile (80w). The 3060 offers more power for gaming, but with a nearly 400 increase and a 165hz panel, I'm not convinced it's worth the investment.
If I were you, I'd pick the Alienware M15, but I'd also add another 8gbs. That alone limits these systems before you even open them!

Thank you for the clarification. The question is about selecting the appropriate RAM for your Alienware system, and whether it needs to be DDR4 2933MHz or another specification.

So, what I would do here is (assuming you have the lappie) open up CPU-z and check your RAM specs. Then proceed to buy a single 8GB stick.
Laptops are much more flexible than desktop motherboards when it comes to mixing RAM. As long as the RAM you purchase matches the same speed and CL rating, it should work fine.
