I'm testing while recording Valorant. My hardware includes an A8 6600K @4.2GHz, dual 4GB DDR3 at 1600MHz, and a manual setting of 1030MHz. I'm comparing an in-game limiter versus the NVIDIA control panel. The performance difference is minimal—about 1% extra FPS in lows, which falls within expected variation. Both options add similar latency, so it shouldn't significantly change your experience. Choose based on what feels smoother for you.

Improving timing and frame rate leads to lower latency. How you accomplish this on your device isn’t crucial. I’m not sure either frame limiter offers significant advantages. It seems you’re dealing with a lot of uncertainty. Have you observed any changes while playing?

I believe I perform better with NVIDIA Limiter compared to in-game settings, likely due to its smoother frame timing. In games, the limiter can fluctuate between 13ms and 15ms, but with NVIDIA it remains more consistent at 12–13ms.
