I’ll test at 1080p at 144fps, targeting smooth gameplay in titles like Warzone and Apex. I’m working with a limited budget—$310 for an i5 12400 (with motherboard) and $3060 for the 350 model. I’m considering $660 for the i5 10400 with a 240 model and $3060 Ti at $500, or $740 for the 740. Which option gives better performance per dollar? I know the 12400 is top-tier but I need to stay within reach.

I’d choose the i5 12400 and also consider adding the TI component, even though it wasn’t the primary focus. That’s just my personal opinion.

At 1080p resolution, the 12400+3060 setup performs better. In competitive modes with limited draw range, you won't reach the full 3060 output in most titles.

I’d choose the 3060 Ti and check if it fits on the 12400 parts list.

You're focusing on FPS titles, which means you likely run lower resolutions or medium settings. That makes GPU usage less critical compared to CPU performance.

Usually a warzone game uses a lot of CPU, around 50-60%. Thanks!
