Do you believe the 5600x stands out as the top choice over the 5800x? The difference is just about 70 pounds.

The 5600x offers the best value for money and effort. You won’t face major driver conflicts—just a BIOS update or reset. Comparing prices, the 12600k, 6900, 12700f, and b660 models are all quite similar in cost.

The issue isn't the variation between the two models. What we've been discussing is the extra hardware required to maximize performance from the 5800x and maintain optimal cooling. It's a premium component that demands more advanced parts. You can't expect it to function at its best in a cost-effective setup. The performance gap between the 5600x and 5800x is negligible.

The 5600x weighs roughly 220 pounds. The i5 12600k is about 265 pounds, but it seems my motherboard won’t work with Intel, so I’d have to get a different one. The i7 12700F is around 305 pounds, which would also need a new board.
