Hello, I'm looking into whether to purchase the laptop with the AMD A-9225 or another model featuring a different CPU. Which one would be better for gaming and editing? I'm aiming for a budget-friendly option, so I need fast advice! Thanks!

HT will improve performance due to 2 threads per core.

4417U stands out clearly. A-9225 aligns closely with Bristol Ridge, making it compatible with AM3/AM3+ CPUs, FM2/FM2+ APUs, unlike the Intel Kaby Lake Refresh CPU

The Pentium might make AMD seem clumsy. If you set the correct RAM speed, it could help.

They both require 8 GB of RAM (the i5 I just updated also needs that amount)

What format are you looking for? The RAM speed is in MHz, and 8GB should be sufficient for current needs.

It would outperform everyone else significantly.

It seems like you're referring to a frequency of around 1600 MHz or 1800 MHz. Could you clarify what you need?

These two speeds perform adequately. A 1333MHz frequency is manageable. My home server operates at 24GB using that speed... not sure if I should consider anything less efficient now.

The i5 will really push performance, especially with its strong multi-core setup. It might need some tweaks like lower voltages and a better thermal paste to keep things running smoothly compared to simpler models.
