Many suggestions seem confusing here. The Ryzen 2600x performs better right away compared to the 1600AF. The core is mostly similar except for clock speeds. You can switch BIOS settings in just half a minute to run the 1600AF at 2600x or higher. Some believe upgrading to a more expensive CPU improves binning and overclocking potential. However, the 1600AF uses less power (65 watts) versus the 2600X (95 watts), so it needs similar binning to maintain efficiency. This difference is minimal and may not justify the cost. The 1600AF is cheaper by $15, making it a better value. For motherboards, opt for the cheapest B450 model with four slots; quality isn’t critical on a tight budget. You can find better options without spending more. This ASRock board offers superior performance for its price.

Suggests light airflow when boosting a high-end CPU. Works well with a 2600X. Suitable for a B450 board. I've assembled several configurations using it. It doesn't stand out, but acceptable for those not heavily overclocking an 8+ core processor.
Opt for this instead of the pro4 because they offer nearly identical features at the same cost. Why settle for something inferior when you can have better value? Additionally, the slight increase in airflow means a fan aimed straight at the board even at low speeds, delivering the kind of airflow you'd expect inside a case.
Some folks prioritize look over performance tweaks. The Steel Series offers RGB lighting and decent power delivery for light overclocking. Most users skip the extra effort. I understand minor airflow matters only when pushing top-tier CPUs, which the 1600 or 2600X don’t need.
I wouldn't label them as high-end, but they can easily exceed the 75A rating mentioned in the spreadsheet. Zen+ actually shows more power leakage on the 12nm process compared to 14nm and 7nm versions. I still don’t understand why you’re so convinced about the steel legend, especially since it’s clearly a less desirable product at the same cost.
