Hello, with an i7 9700k CPU, Intel states it typically has a 95 TDP. For light to moderate overclocking, a quiet Pure Rock CPU cooler should suffice. However, if you need more power, a stronger CPU cooler might be necessary. Your maximum cooler height is 158 mm.

Because of such a powerful processor, it requires a high-quality cooler.
When pushed to higher speeds, power consumption will exceed 95 watts.
What kind of case do you have?
Every cooler benefits from a strong airflow to perform optimally.
A solid tower cooler such as the noctua NH-U12s would be the bare minimum recommended.
It’s ideal for light overclocking.

It's not the pure rock, it's a budget cooler, not suitable for OC.

Do you have any recommendations for a suitable CPU cooler under 158mm that works well with overclocking the 9700K?
