Hi,
After spending a considerable amount of time with my CPU (i5-3570k), I figured overclocking would help maximize its performance before DDR5 becomes widely available and prices drop. My goal is to push it to around 4.4 or 4.5 GHz if possible.

I believe the NH-U14s (70$) or NH-U12s (10$ cheaper than NH-D15) are the top choices, though I found that an AIO cooler such as the Masterliquid ML240L V2 at 65$ could be a better fit based on the tier list (ML240: Tier 2, NH-U14s: Tier 4, NH-U12s: Tier 5). Some reviews also mention Noctua as superior to AIO options of similar price.

I’m still unsure, though. Would you consider other cooler options that could work better in the future? Also, I want a cooler that can be reused in my next build (around three years from now).

Current setup:
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 590 Nitro+ OC 8 Go
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G45
RAM: 2 GB + 4 GB + 2 GB / 1333 MHz

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
You could slap a CoolerMaster Hyper 212X/Evo/Plus onto that processor and be done with it, for $30~$40. There's no need to invest a $100 cooler on such an old processor.

It relies on the subsequent processor you select, provided it meets the requirements, while maintaining all the mounting components included with the cooler.

If you intend to use it again, then choose Noctua Nh D 15 and don't worry about it being too much. In the future it won't be necessary. Watercooling is another possibility, but avoid anything below 240 Rad — 280 is even better.

If I use an NH-U14S, it's sure to fit into my next PC?
