My computer’s performance is causing issues with Escape From Tarkov, despite it running smoothly in other games. I’m struggling to achieve my desired frame rate. What are your thoughts on potential solutions?

Your computer’s motherboard is perfectly suitable for both the Ryzen 3000 and potentially the Ryzen 4000 series processors. You possess 16 gigabytes of memory, a quantity that should adequately support the vast majority of games. Despite this game requiring significant RAM, the initial link provided indicates that 16GB will be sufficient. The suggested processor is the i7-8700, which offers superior gaming performance compared to the i7-1700X. Ultimately, you have a respectable system configuration.

This display runs at a refresh rate of 60 Hertz. Are you considering upgrading to a different monitor? Within Escape from Tarkov, you’re experiencing frame rates between 50 and 60 per second.

Your graphics card appears suitable for achieving your desired frame rate. Nevertheless, this source indicates that the processor could be a bottleneck.

Upgrading your motherboard firmware to a Ryzen 3600 or X would likely improve performance in games heavily reliant on processor speed, and represents the most affordable upgrade.

Would it not be a matter of my motherboard or the memory causing this? I understand that EFT is quite demanding on RAM and doesn’t require a significant amount of processing power from my computer.

Your computer’s motherboard is perfectly suitable for both the Ryzen 3000 and 4000 series processors. You possess 16 gigabytes of memory, a quantity generally sufficient for playing most games. Although the specific game demands substantial RAM usage, the initial link I provided indicates that 16GB will be adequate. The suggested processor is an i7-8700, which performs more effectively in gaming scenarios than the i7-1700X. Ultimately, you have a respectable system configuration to work with.
