Which component is faulty: the motherboard or the CPU?
Assembled a brand-new PC using all fresh components. When I powered it on for the first time, nothing happened—no fans spinning at all. Initially, I suspected a power supply unit issue, but after replacing it with a known-working one, the problem persisted. I even tried booting another PC using my new PSU to confirm it wouldn’t help. All connections were secure, and I double-checked everything. I considered a dead motherboard since no fans turned even once, but I’m still unsure what might be wrong. I’ve returned the motherboard and ordered a replacement. I’m worried the CPU could be the cause, though I thought that was unlikely given the lack of fan activity. Does this align with your thoughts? Thanks.
