Which character should you keep for Red Devil & Gaming OC?
I purchased a GIGABYTE 9070 gaming OC with 4499 CNY (626 USD) on April 23. Its VRAM is manufactured by Hynix. After several attempts to overclock, stability has been poor for months. Right now, I can only undervolt it by 30mV and set the VRAM to 2650.
Last night, I saw a Powercolor 9070 Red Devil priced at 4319 CNY (600 USD) and bought it immediately. It should be delivered tomorrow. This model was bought from a third-party seller rather than GIGABYTE's official store, and it appears to be a newly released Samsung VRAM variant.
My plan was to test both cards, experiment with dual card interference for a few weeks, and then resell one as second-hand. The decision is now clear—what card should I keep?
The decision comes down to what you're holding after adjusting the card's voltage and possibly boosting its speed, as you tried with the Gigabyte model to determine which option is best. Ultimately, it's not just about the figures listed in the brochure but the real-world performance that matters.
