Which cable should I select?
Consider using the splitter dongle with the 12V 2x6 PCIe cable. It matches your PSU's output directly. Using three Type 4 cables into the splitter might complicate things and reduce reliability.
The included Corsair power supply will appear slightly neater, but either option should function perfectly with the 5070 Ti.
I use it with my own RTX 4080 and Corsair RM1000x, everything functions perfectly. The connectors fit tightly, so you may need to apply some pressure to push them into the PSU and GPU. You might have to exert more force than you're comfortable with.
I was completely confident once I installed my RTX 4070 TI. The process seemed straightforward, but I was worried about damaging the device. In truth, it would have required a lot more effort than needed. You definitely need to apply enough pressure to make it work.
On my 3090 Ti there was an issue with one of the lower data pins that appeared bent or damaged, possibly due to being crushed at the connector end. I’m not sure if this was caused by the card itself, since I purchased it used and haven’t experienced this before with 40 series cards.
