Hello, everyone. I'm excited to receive a Ryzen 7 3700X this Christmas. Right now, I have a Ryzen 5 1600 on an MSI MATE board. Which BIOS should I choose? The latest one from their site doesn't mention support for the Ryzen 3000 series (7A34vALQ/Beta) or the version listed on the page with multiple Ryzen 3000 BIOSes (7A34vAL also BETA). They suggested getting the newest one, which is 7A34vALQ—but I'm not very confident in them. I really need your advice since I'm a bit nervous about this lol.

7A34vALQ works with Ryzen 3000 chips. It's usually best to keep the latest BIOS installed. Even newer BIOS updates often maintain compatibility with Ryzen 3000, so removing support would be unnecessary. Only consider older versions if you encounter problems that an updated BIOS doesn't resolve.

Thanks for your reply! To sum it up, the most recent standard BIOS version is from January 30, 2019, and the Ryzen 3000 chip wasn’t even launched yet. I felt a bit concerned since the 7A34vAL BIOS wasn’t listed on their official site.

Hello, this discussion is a bit outdated, but I’m planning to upgrade from a Ryzen 3 1200 to a Ryzen 5 3600. I’ve updated my BIOS to version 7A34vALQ before making the change and would like to know how the system is performing with the beta BIOS and the new Ryzen chip in the MSI PC Mate (assuming it’s a B350). Best regards.
