Consider resuming Acronis True Image since your subscription is valid until June 2025. You feel confident about managing the renewal costs without relying heavily on Doordash orders. Alternatively, you could wait until June to assess if you can afford the renewal and proceed then.
I didn't use Recoverys with Acronis much while it was installed; I might have missed testing it with my Extra Storage drive. Macrium Reflect X is something I can try soon, or I could practice recovery using a Secondary Laptop, which should be similar to the Desktop setup I assume.
Will proceed with mastering Macrium Recovery procedures, updating the rescue USB drives. Ensure the system boots successfully on both platforms—desktop and secondary gaming laptop—so that one machine initiates a recovery process targeting one of the drives.
I'm quite puzzled about the sudden change because I was concerned about the renewal costs. Why did you even get anxious about the renewal and switch four months early instead of waiting until it was time to pay? You've already spent money on Reflect while losing valuable time with your True Image licenses, and now you're thinking about giving up Reflect so you won't waste any remaining time on those licenses.
Regarding multiple machines, Macrium Reflect offers licensing for four machines at $100 per year, whereas True Image costs $80 for three machines and $100 for five. How did switching to Reflect turn out to be the better deal? (I also chose Reflect because I've been using the free home version for a long time and prefer it. True Image is more affordable and just as useful for your main backup needs.)
If you're struggling financially, there are other legitimate free image-based backup tools available. They might not look as polished or feature-rich, nor do they have as many options, but they function properly. Even Windows 11 includes a Backup app from the Windows 7 era, which is not the most advanced but still works well and uses significantly less space on the backup destination compared to others.
I had a deadline on March 31st, 2025, to switch to Macrium Reflect X, and I managed to get it for lifetime at $49.99. I also traded in all my Acronis True Image licenses.
Yes, I know I spent a lot of time on Acronis True Image, but should I switch to Macrium Reflect X for that price or keep using Acronis?
It’s not too costly if I handle it properly and encourage my family to do the same.
The remaining time for Macrium Reflect X licenses is until February 11th, 2026.
Sometimes I get a bit anxious, but I used Macrium Reflect 8 Home for a while, and before that, Macrium Reflect 7 was free for a while.
I think I shouldn’t have bought True Image at all and just stayed with Macrium Reflect Home 8 last year. Upgrading to Reflect X before March 31st would have saved me money.
I employ both solutions. My newer PC has two Acronis licenses from June 26, 2016. On my 13-year-old Windows 10 machine, I use Macrium free. It offers limited options but functions adequately. Free licenses remain accessible. My Windows 10 PC is now running Ubutu. I continue to use Macrium.
I think it’s better to stay with Macrium Reflect X right now. Switching back to Acronis True Image doesn’t seem necessary. I just realize I often spend money unnecessarily.
I need to learn to be more relaxed, cut down on ordering Doordash, and I’d have a lot more money each month for other things.
I’m hoping to upgrade my Windows 10 machines to Windows 11 by October 2025. I’ve never heard of Linux before—I’ve been using Windows since 1993.

Switching once more would definitely be a poor use of funds given you have almost a year left on the Reflect licenses, so I really can't see why anyone would think about it. I usually invest in items I don’t need, but I make sure not to discard fully working products just to get something else that offers no real improvement.
