No USB-C connector present. Even though the X570 supports plus two USB 3.0 ports, I might eliminate my PCIe 3.0 slot.
Sorry about that! The board costs 300 bucks, which isn't worth it compared to an x570. VRM really performs well with components like XDPE132G5C and TDA21472. Still, the boards I mentioned are decent. You might also consider the B550 Steel Legend—it's similar to the Aorus Pro in terms of VRM and has a type C header.
Even though the features are important to me, I haven’t decided to purchase this board. As you mentioned about the 550 model, it costs more than $300. I do have enough budget, but I prefer not to spend that much.
It seems the X570 model didn’t include a USB-C header, which is why you can’t connect it easily.
They balance what's accessible with what's possible, aiming to optimize performance.
Due to my setup having a USB-C at the front, I need a board that includes the header.
I use it and really like it. The only drawback (varies by preference) is that it might not support 3600 MHz at all—it isn't listed for G.Skill 3600 MHz RAM, unlike some ASRock B550 boards (such as Steel Legend) and MSI models. Still, I have no problems recommending it.
