Which AMD CPU should I choose?
I understand this has come up before, but now it's clear the prices on eBay for the Ryzen 7 2700X and Ryzen 5 3600 are quite similar. I enjoy playing games such as BeamNG Drive, GTA V, Minecraft, Avorion, TerraTech, and other titles, as well as working on content at 1080p. I can also overclock either processor. I'm curious which option offers the better value.
I’d choose the 3600 because of its higher IPC, even though it has two fewer cores than the 2700 with the same IPC improvement. In general, the extra boost usually more than makes up for that loss in cores.

These standards appear more suitable for gaming, though they don’t display Cinebench R20 results, render times in Blender, or scores for multi-core applications. At 2700x the performance would be about 3900, while 3600 would likely reach around 3575 for Cinebench R20.
I believe I could give up some multi-threaded speed for better single-thread performance.
