Hello everyone! I'm setting up a new PC for moderate to heavy gaming and want to decide between a R7 5700G or a R7 5800X for modded Minecraft. It's not the only game I'll play, but it's the main priority. I also have 2x16GB RAM, 3200MHz, an RTX 3060 and a 1TB NVMe SSD with 310MB/s read speed.

The 5700G, 5700x and 5800x all perform similarly within a few percentage points in both single and multi-core tests. If you need a slight edge and the price difference matters, choose the 5800x. Otherwise, any of these models will likely show very similar low FPS values and should handle heavily modded games well due to their shared 8-core, 16-thread configuration. The 5700x and 5700G consume less power, which may influence decisions about cooling and motherboard VRM quality.
