This depends on what you're looking for in the story. For Assassin's Creed 2 & Brotherhood, Revelations (Bomb system and hook blade) brought some updates. Assassin's Creed 3 offers a major shift—play feels better and the setting moved from Italy to America. Assassin's Creed Black Flag has an unclear story but the piracy is enjoyable; choose what suits you best.
